Water Sensitive Urban Design
Project:Hawkesbury City Council water sensitive urban design DCP
Client:Hawkesbury City Council
Services: Hawkesbury City Council is the largest local government area in the Sydney metropolitan region. The Council is flanked by five rivers (Nepean, Hawkesbury, Grose, Macdonald and Colo) and forms part of World Heritage listed wilderness areas. The Council has a population of 66,000 and growing and features a number of historic towns.
Barker Ryan Stewart were engaged by Hawkesbury City Council to create a Water Sensitive Urban Design - Development Control Plan and Engineering Design and Construction Specification.
Environmental Management Plan
Project:EMP – Adventure Golf Panthers
Client:Panthers World of Entertainment
Services: Adventure Golf Panthers is located at Panthers World of Entertainment and provides a unique and fun golfing experience for all ages, abilities and groups. The complex includes three exciting mini golf courses, golf driving ranges and an 18 hole par three golf course.
Barker Ryan Stewart were engaged by Adventure Golf Panthers to a provide an Environment Management Plan in support of the Development Application to Penrith City council for the 18 hole golf course. The land is severed by a meandering watercourse which flows through the site.
Retail Distribution Centre
Project: Retail Distribution Centre, Rouse Hill
Client:Oz Design Furniture
Services: Oz Design Furniture are building a large head office and distribution centre at Rouse Hill. Oz Design Furniture are a house hold name as a furniture retailer in Australia and New Zealand. As part of the building works a large car parking area, access roads and drainage are to be provided. A watercourse is also to be redirected around the building site.
Barker Ryan Stewart are engaged by Oz Design Furniture to provide an innovative detailed water sensitive urban design and creek creation and rehabilitation works through the site
Wild Hibiscus
Project: Wild Hibiscus - Kurrajong Heights
Client: Wild Hibiscus Flower Company
Services: The Wild Hibiscus Flower Company is a family operated company that currently exports to more than 40 countries worldwide.
The project involved the renewal of a disused nursery with an architecturally designed Rural Industry, Tourist Facility and Commercial Premises surrounding an attractive dam.

Project: “End of Journey” bicycle parking station, Town Hall House
Client:City of Sydney
Services: Development application for refurbishment of Level 1 of Town Hall House for bicycle parking station, known as “End of Journey”.
Our services included: DA Documentation; Town Planning Advice; Statement of Environmental Effects; and Waste Management Plan.
East Gosford Catchment Study
Project: East Gosford catchment study and OSD basin designs
Client: Gosford City Council
Services: Gosford City Council engaged Barker Ryan Stewart to review flooding impacts in the Emma Jane Street catchment and undertake trunk drainage modelling and detention designs to reduce flooding impacts on surrounding residential land.
