BARKER RYAN STEWART NEWSLETTER
WHAT IS IN STORE FOR BRS IN 2018

Welcome to BRS’s first newsletter for 2018.

We have certainly hit the ground running in 2018! We are continuing to work on all our existing projects and have plenty of new projects to get our teeth stuck into. Some of these exciting projects are featured in this newsletter. We’d like to thank the continued support of our clients for utilising our services and we are proud to be able to assist you in the delivery of your projects.

To assist with our ever-growing project pipeline, we are very pleased to announce that Mika Staines (Draftsperson – Central Coast), Matthew Bakon (Trainee Civil Engineer – Central Coast) and Chris Borg (Senior Civil Engineer – Norwest) have joined our BRS team.

Thanks to Earl Aninipoc (Senior Traffic Engineer), we will have four soon to be accredited Road Safety Auditors that will form part of our new Road Safety Auditing team. This new service will complement our existing Traffic Engineering, RMS Project Verification and Civil Engineering design services. For any enquiries regarding this service please contact Earl at our Norwest office.

As part of our Healthy Workplace initiative we are getting behind the Cancer Council’s March Charge. Our 91-year-old world record breaking race walker Heather Lee is an Ambassador for the Cancer Council. We have decided to challenge Heather to see if anyone from our BRS team or their immediate families can walk/run more km’s in the month of March then her. Heather’s target is 250kms! If you’d like to donate to this worthy cause please follow this link, all donations will be greatly appreciated.

To ensure that our newsletter continues to be of interest to you, if there is anything that you’d like us to cover in future additions of the BRS quarterly newsletter please don’t hesitate to contact Jessica at jessica@brs.com.au.

Enjoy reading our newsletter and we look forward to working with you through 2018.

Road Safety Audits
Barker Ryan Stewart are now offering Road Safety Audit services.

Earl Aninipoc is a Level 3 Auditor and has been assisting Alan Denniss, Alex Saunders, Anthony Scott and Glenn Jameson to obtain their Level 2 Road Safety Auditing accreditation.

Road Safety Audits are conducted through three general phases in the life of a road-related construction: pre-construction, construction and post-construction.

If your project includes public works, if not conditioned  by RMS or Council already, you should consider at least one Road Safety Audit depending on the size and complexity of the project. For most small projects, a detailed design or pre-opening audit are most common. Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss the best way forward for your project for the safety of its future road users.

2017 Christmas Party

What a fantastic time out celebrating the BRS Christmas at Julies Place on the Central Coast. Everybody got the chance to flex those cooking muscles and whipped up some amazing Italian dishes; including a delicious Boscaiola, with pasta made from scratch and mastering a seafood risotto.

Some amazing Secret Santa gifts and laughs were exchanged and then the night ended with some heading out to the ReviveR to taste test a few cocktails.
